8 Gig fiber compared with cable and DSL

There is no real comparison between 8 Gigabit fiber and a 5 Mbps DSL line. 8,000 Mbps is about 1,600 times a 5 Mbps connection. Against 60 Mbps cable, 8 Gig fiber is more than 100 times faster, and the upload gap is wider because cable and DSL uploads are only a fraction of their download speeds. Fiber here is symmetrical.
